Litchfield Beach also known as just Litchfield is a tiny community 3 miles north of Pawley’s Island. Litchfield quite simply is all about relaxing at a beautiful beach away from the crowds in Myrtle Beach and its sister communities nearby. Litchfield is generally included into the Pawley’s Island community. It is a small community that enjoys all of the amenities of nearby Pawley’s Island and the entire Grand Strand area.

Litchfield consists of private homes, condos and a few hotels. Most of the hotels and restaurants are technically in nearby Pawley’s Island. Litchfield is the perfect place for families and couples who just want a relaxed atmosphere. It is a great way to check out the more fast paced areas in or around Myrtle Beach without having to be there the entire time.

What is there to do in Litchfield?

Litchfield is a great place to golf and golfers from all over come to play at the courses. The golf courses are technically in Pawley’s Island just a few miles away. If you enjoy boating or crabbing or just about anything on the water it is a great place to visit.

If you are a couple and can get away for honeymoon just yet, Litchfield is a great place for a quick romantic getaway. There are some great condo rentals in the area.

At the end of the day Litchfield is the place to come for rest and relaxation but you have all the amenities of the bigger cities nearby should you decide to venture out from the peace and quiet of this wonderful beach area.
